If I had 100% guarantee that I wouldnt get covid I would have went that first night and been happy
s*** was electric. literally felt like being courtside at a game. I rewatched today with the family and the theater was dead, nobody had any reaction when andrew came out and barely for tobey.
so my fam didn't understand my excitement for the movie

Like I am not even joking when I say there was some excitement but it wasnt like electric so that partially affected my movie watching experience becuase its like even people who were going in blind like the single mom next to me were just like "what did you think" lol . Since I saw it days later like Saturday I got a more blind audience or audience that wasnt just trying to be day 1 so some that had seen no trailers at all and others who just avoided spoilers and were in it
this movie honestly gets less fun with each rewatch for the sole reason that the theater is less lit every time. everyone knows everything by this point.
will really never be able to recreate that first night. wish I could relive it.
They should do some s*** where marvel records the opening night crowd of the movie and add it as a extra option for when you buy it for streaming or someshit WOULD BE LIT
Movie was amazing
so much to say but don’t feel like typing it
I just love how they set up the MCU Spidey to have an arch more like the previous Spideys with him being solo now
Is there a reason Tobey and Goblin never acknowledged each others existence in this movie even when Tobey gets stabbed by him? were they unable to film together or something?
Actually noticed this & their story was the most intertwined between anyone in this film

I mean I am confused on why out the gate Goblin was on the highway scene let alone evil when at the end of spiderman 1 as soon as he gets stabbed he realizes the errors of his ways but as the movie says it isnt them when they die its them right before so I give it to them
I get you
like ok we get it this a fictional piece of work, move on

Lol thats how I felt about the Amazing line so I get it. they kept saying "you know you are amazing right you know that you are amazing"
I just finished watching the movie and… I enjoyed it
As someone who hasn’t watched the Tom Holland Spider-Man films, this was a nice watch.
I cheered so hard when Doc Oc showed up and the rest of the villains up until Tobey showed up last.
The concept of fixing all the villains was kinda cheesy but I came in for the action between these characters.
Overall I give it a 7/10
Think you would like it more had you watched holland films as well.
Give them a go :)

Nah i feel you. This movie could have been way better had they scaled down moments like that (even if they were funny a bit in the moment) and got more creative with some of the interactions then meta narrative jokes.
like the Raimi memes sprinkled in were already a bit oof lol that’s just my own take tho. Some people like that stuff but to me it just feels less authentic in the moment

nah goblin was still weaving back and forth on his grimy ways tbh

wish those mfs set up a camera on the corner of my theater or something cause damn I have no way of getting it now
Just realized that technically the people from the train scene in Spider-Man 2 were probably pulled into the MCU

I get the parallels of the idea that he would lose the great power he had he turned on his responsibilities the same way Holland did. Rather than ask for help in anyway Goblin succumbed to power because he lost everything in Spider Man 1 and he didnt want to lose everything again in a world where he is told he can go back to death or stay in a world where his son and company dont exist

They all knew he was spider man but tobey aint got to wish for nothing

either way good or evil there was no incentive for Norman to be transported back without a cure.

it wouldn’t but it’s always nice to hear the cheers

Again I know it may sound corny but the entire movie would have punchlined harder if we saw the cured villains back in their universes but forgetting the plot of this movie they were cured

eh, nah for me i think it would have hit more had they been cured. In their universe, remembering the events that unfolded and some of them like Norman and Ock got to actually live normal lives again
