I’m a little confused about the spell which will make everyone forget Peter is Spider-Man. So why did everyone forget who the Peter is? Why MJ and everyone else doesn’t know Peter anymore? I thought anyone that’s close to him would forget he’s a Spider-Man but would still know him as Peter?

The one at the end was about making everyone forget who Peter Parker is so the villains that would’ve come through wouldn’t. Peter specifically asked Strange to change the spell to that
