I like black panther, endgame/iw, iron man, and I like all the spiderman movies pretty generally.

It’s not even that I hate the movie, I’m just really put off by how pointless the plot was. Visually, it was insane

Yes enjoy it, if you like it, like it. You’re right, everything doesn’t have to be deep, and I’m glad Spider-Man didn’t take some “deep” approach. That being said, the movie made no sense, and as a result it took away from my enjoyment

Nope that’s why i’ve said EARLIER in this thread that going forward it’s going to be hard for us adults to watch Marvel movies/shows going forward because they cater to families and kids.

While the people who grew up with the MCU will be left behind. I HOPE they add rated R content but they won’t

To me, the film accomplished 2 things.

It satisfied old and new Spidey fans by giving us the ultimate team up with a scenario that could be straight out of a comic book

And it also acts as a bookend to Peter's origin to truly becoming SPIDER-MAN. Now that his friends don't remember him and he has no Stark Tech, he can be the superhero he was always meant to be.
He isn't a boy anymore, this film made him a man

I was genuinely confused when you called them a kids movie cause some want punisher next or a brutal venom movie

the spell at the beginning (which could’ve ended the movie), listening to his aunt (which led to her demise), trying to REHABILITATE super villains, letting a HOMELESS CRAZY MAN (who happened to be GG) into the home of a LITERAL WIZARD

They didn’t even address what happened to the villains when they went back “home”

But he is supposed to be stubborn or stupid ( even if I think it lead to a story I personally didn’t like ) so going forward he will be smart . Main theme of the movie is his decision making and accountability

The Batman won't be as much fun to watch, but at least it'll prolly feel like a movie at the end of the day and not an amusement park ride

I hated how aunt may was killed cause I didn’t even notice she was dying until she was dead I thought she was good all the way up until she fell…no blood, no impact marks no nothing. She just died

But like I said if I can see this movie through the eyes of an 11 year old me. I love this s***
