She/they was just doing the right thing which always bites Pete in the ass throughout the whole series so I didn’t mind it cause it’s consistent in the trilogy. I mean yeah most of the things he does is dumb but this lesson was the worst. Plus Pete has to be convinced to not send them back

Peter actually lost someone close to him because of his actions & then the acting in that scene + score then him getting blasted on in the moment worked way more than a wink wink nod nod MJ catch that could of been seen a mile away to a point where it was being said in the trailers
