yall really reaching for these plot holes. Who tf gonna let these villains be running around like that?

I mean I'm not saying he murdered them. I'm just saying the whole 'hero must say everyone' complex s*** is just corny especially when they were in conflict with another version of you.

It felt like lazy writing? Want Peter fighting all these guys? Let's have him attempt to save him in a plan that obviously will fail and that Aunt May herself could've told you wouldn't work out exactly how he wanted. Want to be lazy and set the plot in motion? Let's have Peter f*** up an obviously sensitive spell! Like there couldn't have been better writing to get us the same point? I am just forced to sit in my seat and watch Peter ruin everything for the point of setting the plot in motion and call that good writing?

They’re f***ing superheroes, of course their natural instinct is to save everyone if it’s at all possible, the opportunity exists in this case because of the much advanced technology compared to the other two Spider-Man’s respective universes (alongside there being literal magic) it’s what made this Peter distinctive.

None of the villains he fought have died, in some cases he went out of his way to prevent their deaths (a la Homecoming).

Also, the plan didn’t fail. They succeeded in changing the villains back, thus saving their lives (and by extension saving the lives of a number of people in their respective universes, like Harry Osborne for instance in Raimi’s universe).

And that’s the besides the point that Peter didn’t even really know the multiverse was even really a thing, and that the spell would be tapping into that until it was nearly finished being cast.

Dude was being hunted by the feds and was seeing his best friends’ lives ruined, it’s kind of understandable that he wouldn’t be thinking too clearly.

    Major Plothole

Why did Ned and MJ stop after Tobey in terms of finding more Spider-Man? At that point they were 2/2. If they were realistic they would have kept going in order to find more SpiderMan that can help them beat all the villains.

That’s not a f***ing plot hole, by that respect there should have been an infinite number of villains pulled from every corner of the multiverse because there’s no way that those 5 were the only ones who knew.

It’s a plot contrivance, not a plot hole, which exists, in like, every action adventure movie known to man.

Legit people don’t know what a plot hole even is anymore. Not that plot holes are that big of a deal to begin with. Story isn’t just plot, often times, even in great films, plot is secondary or even tertiary in terms of story.

I’m looking for grounded realism in my superhero movies, dammit!

Had me until Tobey. Worst Spider-Man (still love his trilogy tho)

still the most iconic portrayal. the fact that he has more memes than any comic book actor working today and his movies are from 15-20 years ago is just too noteworthy

I noticed it looked a little different but

That’s cgi on the left. There’s plenty of CGI suit moments from the og movies that looks worse than the pic on the left

Was Andrew just running around as Spider-Man for a day or what

  • Dec 21, 2021

we need to acknowledge how good Sony has been with cross-marketing spiderman to build this s*** up.

    1. Miles Morales appears in Spiderman PS4, getting more people used to his character

    2. Spiderverse comes out, making people love Miles and understand the multiverse/multiple spidermen + want to see it in Live Action

    3. PS4 Miles Morales game comes out to critical acclaim. I can only imagine if this game came out without spiderverse setting the stage for Miles. Nerds would've been saying "we don't want the black spiderman we wanted the new peter parker game"

    4. No Way Home releases as the 2nd biggest opening weekend of all time, set by the groundwork of spiderverse

    5. FUTURE: Spiderverse 2 comes out next year prolly gonna be way bigger than the first animated movie. Miles in the MCU one day is gonna be a huge deal

there are only two true plotholes to me:

    1. Electro knowing peter was spiderman (although maybe he learned it when he was ā€˜absorbing data’? this couldve been handled way better)

    2. dr strange being a complete and utter dumbass. pretty much everything couldve been avoided had him and peter discussed how the spell was going to work beforehand. i hope they make it so this Strange was actually an imposter or is just shook from losing his title to Wong, because he was seriously done dirty in this film
