I really cant be hyped about spider man 4 til I know future writer and director and team behind everything. They did some concerning things in this lol

What’s concerning? It’s essentially a full reset of the character and they can choose to introduce/reintroduce characters whenever they see fit.

We’ll be getting a fully independent Peter.

I actually thought it was pretty clever to turn May into his Uncle Ben considering we as the audience had more time to grow attachment to her as opposed to Ben who’s marked for death from minute one, so there’s less incentive to become invested.

That’s probably one of the best aspects of this trilogy of Spider-Man movies, they’re consistently clever with their implementation of the character’s mythology in a way that makes complete sense while not feeling overly convulated or convenience based.

They’re like the ultimate set-up and pay off movies.

One of Peter’s most relatable aspects was that he was a total nobody.

Now they’ve taken that to the nth degree.

implementation? They had her rush the great power great responsibility line after she got stabbed by goblin glider and crushed by cement

I like fully independent peter parker.

But Aunt May isnt that developed besides being hot as f***. Yes she helps those in need and yes it makes sense why she wants to help villains but these villains are admittedly killers and want to kill spider man/ peter parker.

Did Iron Man want to cure Thanos? Can every villain be cured? These villains will never be seen again and we dont even see them cured in their own universes?

She stabs Goblin with the serum he can instantly tell doesn't work so Tom Spider man created something that doesnt even stun goblin that she risk her life to administer because (?)

They didn’t really rush the Great Power line though, it’s the entire theme of the film. This entire trilogy was essentially one big origin story for Spider-Man.

It’s sort of an inevitability to the character, and by investment I mean from an audience perspective, not necessarily from a narrative standpoint (Raimi’s May is far more of a presence in his respective movies).

The execution was a little iffy I’ll admit (mostly because again, this Aunt May wasn’t as developed which I fault mostly with Far From Home since it took place overseas, and it’s hands down the weakest of the trilogy), but the idea of Aunt May being used as that sort of symbol with this Spider-Man’is mythos is a solid idea.

I don’t really understand what you mean in the last third of what you said.

SM1 the greatest origin movie of all time so I don't blame them

SM2 better but all the ways he learns about his powers in the first one is so fun

Rushed it as in she should have said it ANY F***ING TIME BUT WHEN SHE IS SHAKING AND BLEEDING TO DEATH WHILE ACTING LIKE SHE IS OKAY.

There was no point to killing her because she literally wouldnt have remembered who peter parker was anyway and would have stopped raising him as nephew or had no recollection of him at all.

That would have been more painful than killing her and he going out to college anyway.

    Killing her served no purpose

    It is

Don’t know why that upsets you cause that first movie is beautiful and aged like whine

The weird games being played between mj and Peter in SM2 brings that movie below the first one which is almost perfect hero origin imo
