After seeing this thread I tried critiquing things I didn’t like about it with my coworker but it was so minimal
coming itt you’d swear this one of the worst spidey movies
you gassin it chief LOL
If they do venom next what was the point of spider man appearing evil , having court and conflict of not killing villains ? He was really going to kill goblin for killing aunt may after the whole plot of curing them and him not knowing whether any of the villains killed the other Parker’s significant others
It's like when Peter found Uncle Bens killer and wanted to kill him. If I remember correctly, Tobey's Spider Man accidentally kills uncle bens killer.
So it's that same sentiment. Tom's Peter Parker hasn't had that darkness consume him yet
Black Suit Spidey.
Black suit spidey after we saw a spider man that would have killed goblin if no one stopped him
Hopefully we get Tobey,Tom and Andrew in Across The Universe
The whole movie about seeing villains cured so they can go back to their lives and universes be happy . We see them cured for all of 2 minutes and don’t see them back in their universes
Time constraints tbh
This s*** def coulda been have used being split up into 2 movies and each movie be 2 to 2 and a half hours each IMO
you gassin it chief LOL
Making up imaginary situations
My theater was perfect light clapping and gasp at moments but no standing ovation screaming go Spider-Man or anything
tbh Charlie Cox and Garfield got the biggest pops in my theater...Tobey's first appearance was actually kind of awkward and underwhelming I thought (the face off with Garfield in the kitchen was fun though) even though he picked it up later
Black suit spidey after we saw a spider man that would have killed goblin if no one stopped him
I mean.. he lost MJ, May, he's dead broke, dropped out of High School and got his GED, he's not in the best mind state LOL

But we had time for a dr strange trailer
All I was saying is Spiderman is more than what you value in the character it's why he's one of the most enduring characters in fiction.
It's fine to not like Homecoming but the idea it isn't a Spiderman movie just elicited me giving an example of how different Spiderman can be.
Spiderman Noir is way more different but he's still Spiderman and even made it to the films.
To each their own
I mean.. he lost MJ, May, he's dead broke, dropped out of High School and got his GED, he's not in the best mind state LOL
He was going to kill goblin before most of what you list happens
Black suit spidey after we saw a spider man that would have killed goblin if no one stopped him
what's the problem
I mean.. he lost MJ, May, he's dead broke, dropped out of High School and got his GED, he's not in the best mind state LOL
Also Tobey didn’t make much of an effort to save green goblin in Spider-Man 1…..
Thread has been like 90% positive only one who didn't like it was @Jonboi and @ilgnd i think
@ilgnd I got to hear this since you a die hard Garfield fan
sitting next to this guy who soon as the movie is over says to the person he's with "they gave us that and what's DC doing?...another f***in Batman movie"
I hate ultra loyal dorks like that
Also Tobey didn’t make much of an effort to save green goblin in Spider-Man 1…..
People forget Peter Parker is a human with emotions

he real
He was going to kill goblin before most of what you list happens
yea but just cuz he saved the day doesn't mean that his mental health did a 180. he still f***ed up in the game

Some stuff you just gotta use your imagination for lol we didn’t see the villains plucked from their respective timelines so why would we see them go back? The perspective of this movie was firmly within the MCU universe

I ain’t think it was bad . Am I in a rush to watch it ever again ? Did it feel good to be in a full theater and interact with strangers ? Yes
Also Tobey didn’t make much of an effort to save green goblin in Spider-Man 1…..
yea he did, Goblin tried to kill his ass anyway lol
What do we gain from pretending like Spider-Man is not supposed to play off of nostalgia. This is a comic book character from the 60s. I think the franchise and fans have earned the right to spend a little nostalgic currency to give us that movie theater moment
You can play off nostalgia but you shouldn’t rely on it as the main gripping factor and selling point
Both Endgame and No Way Home relied way too much and didn’t focus enough on things that could’ve made the movies much better
They really had holland boxing dafoe as the final fight. S*** reminded me of the last of us 2
he real
almost turned to him and said this just a live action Enter the Spiderverse but have a feeling he woulda gone psycho lmao

I don’t care about seeing them plucked I care about seeing them go back because the whole pointwas villains are human too
