Well I have SM2 as my favorite but Homecoming takes inspo from Spectacular Spider-Man bro it’s a great movie

Also memes are just cultural moments. If you take out a line like “I’m something of a scientist myself” bc it might not age well, all you’re doing is robbing us here in the present of something we can resonate with and appreciate. Mind you the OG line is 20 years old and I’m sure they didn’t expect it to be one of the most iconic lines of the movie so idk maybe just don’t worry so much about how cool s*** is gonna be in the future and enjoy it now

What do we gain from pretending like Spider-Man is not supposed to play off of nostalgia. This is a comic book character from the 60s. I think the franchise and fans have earned the right to spend a little nostalgic currency to give us that movie theater moment
