Yeah the lack of other MCU characters coming to co-sign Peter is annoying now that I’m thinking about it. Even if the actors didn’t wanna show u on set we could’ve got a name drop at least of Pepper and Rhodey issuing statements defending Peter

Like it’s a shared universe for a reason so make it believable. Doesn’t take away from the movie really but I would’ve preferred it

When you constantly shove other characters or plots on spider man movies it doesn’t make it feel connected . It makes it feel like you don’t have confidence in the character

no yeah definitely I agree, it was definitely cool seeing him team up with everybody but that true loner Peter is what I love the most so this possible new trilogy will be very welcomed

it just makes this trilogy better for me (cause imma be honest the first two movies I kinda like oh this is cool, but not the spidey I wanted I guess which kinda tampered my like for them unforunately)

Not every Spider-Man movie is going to be a multitude of characters. That approach was right for this one.
You can’t think about topping yourself in terms of spectacle. Otherwise movies just get larger and larger for no reason, and it’s not a good result. But we do want to always try and top ourselves in terms of quality and emotion. Kevin and I never want to lose sight of one thing: Peter Parker. That he’s a normal kid. That he is orphaned over and over again. That he’s a teenager, so everything in his life is at a heightened pitch and everything matters more than anything. That he’s fueled by goodness and guilt. That he’s striving for a greater cause, and he’s vilified by the press.
