because the atmosphere is the style, it's not lyrics forward where the vocals are louder and clearer than everything as the spotlight. I mean mach does this s*** all the time intentionally mixing his voice low or quiet so the lyrics aren't as clear on purpose, but the lyrics are still the core of the music. would you say mach is lazy because he doesn't want people to be able to always hear his lyrics clearly? that's why what earl is doing is interesting to me because he's still an elite lyricist but he's not making it the full focus of the sound.

I get why people aren't big on this especially coming from some of the best pens on our gen because it can be seen as reductive, but it's intentional. who else has incredible bars like this doing this sound
