this is so f***ing sad. i still remember hearing bipp for the first time literal mind blown. she was an icon and a genius
I don't talk about it much on here but I'm a closeted trans enby. I often feel f***ing terrified of coming out because the idea of living with more targets on my back. Sophie is a role model to so many trans people, she told all of us we were all beautiful.
When Big Fish Theory came out and I found out she produced "Yeah Right" I was astounded. The fact a hip hop song people adored was produced by a trans woman is insane to me, The fact that a legend like Kendrick was on it is a cherry on top. I always wished that she would work on more hip hop songs as a way to further pave acceptance of trans people in mainstream music and hip hop, something that is still desperately needed. Even though she's gone, trans musicians she's inspired like Fraxiom and Chloe Hotline are gonna carry on her mission in her place.
Often times trans women don't get the privilege to live a long life, whether it be from disease, suicide, or hate crimes. I am grateful none of those befell Sophie, but still utterly heartbroken her life was taken at the age of 34. I've been listening to Immaterial with tears in my eyes all day. Thank you for making me more proud of being me. Thank you for being an inspiration for every trans and queer kid who wants to make music or any other kind of art.
Thank you Sophie Xeon. The moon is forever yours
one of the only posts I’ve ever seen on this site that I’d consider beautiful, sending love to you
Idk what to say except this really f***ing sucks. Her sound was so unique and recognizable and shes had a hand in so many amazing songs. RIP Sophie.

When I heard Samo on Big Fish Theory, I had to know who produced because it. That beat was crazy. Instantly became a fan. Vroom Vroom should of been a huge hit. RIP.

it always depends on the person's energy when it comes to this type of thing.
if its a genuine "I never heard of her. who is she", thats perfectly reasonable
the people who come in like
and know what they're doing is who i have issues with. Like, even if they really don't know, they came to make jokes while everyone is mourning; not because they want to be educated

Either way just drop that resume, I get it’s disrespectful but you can’t deny the greatness when its presented in front of u
Wanna listen to OOEPUI but every time I listen to her music I get sad so I don't think I'd be able to handle it
Like I'm deadass tearing up to Nothing More to Say rn
