  • Digital gaming has made previous gen games more accessible than ever. That just a fact. Physical gaming made more games obsolete due to new consoles etc. Now you can just DL from a game library for peanuts and play classics on your newest console. There's good and bad in everything I believe. You can still think they should keep physical but I had to say this...

  • My problem is I'm never tryna pay more than 50 for a game. If I'm desperate for a new release, I just rent it, otherwise I'll play through my backlog until I can grab it for cheap off ebay. Then I resell it once I'm done or if I don't like it.

From next gen I won't be able to do either

I doubt there'll be a HUGE tech leap between ps5 and 6 so I'm happy to wait out till the end of next gen to grab ps6 once all the good games are out. PS5 will be my first and last day one console purchase

  • If anyone thinks the concerns people have about this announcement are limited to gaming, they're just being disingenuous or willfully ignorant. There are many problems with corporations/publishers restricting or outright removing the option of media ownership and just one of them is the possibility of losing your ability to play a game if a server crashes or license expires. This started with music streaming and now it's infected everything.
