·2 repliesI don't know, discs had already become just kind of a symbolic placeholder without real data on many of them.. just acted as licensing keys.. Without an updated disc format to hold all of modern games (which wouldn't be worth developing since so many people opt for digital only), I get phasing them out
This would obviously be a much easier pill to swallow if the digital games didn't have DRM and when downloaded could just be played forever. That would be the happy medium
mjpplusyes but does the average joe have 2k to spend on building a pc which not everyone would know how to do or spend like 600 on something just as powerful that doesn't require someone to learn about pc specs
PS6s are gonna be damn near $2K so might as well

My comment isn’t pro-corporation dumb f***. The point is that old formats get replaced with new formats, that’s the natural progression of technology. Crying about it is pathetic in the wake of real world issues like war, genocide, poverty, etc. genuinely you are all drama queens.
