I made my peace with digital only since PS3/360 days. Only bought physical if the steelbook was fire

they literally paid 60 billon dollars for the biggest game studio and STILL gave away all their exclusives

I'm someone that frequents the mall regularily. Went to EB games and Walmart, and you know what I see in the gaming sections?

No one.

People aren't tumbling to go out to buy their games in store when they can just press pay and it's ready for you.

They did that to go along with the anti-trust issues that were blocking their acquisition

They had no intention of giving away their newly acquired exclusives initially but they couldn't get the acquisition approved without that pledge

to be fair thats also if you own physical copy of the crew too lol. thats not a digital problem. Thats a live service problem

ive been a digital only advocate since 2008 this isnt contrarian

First it'll be digital-only games

Then it'll be no buying single games, subscription packages only

Then they'll start charging subscriptions for individual games

And eventually we'll have to start paying for individual chapters in individual games
