Hell yes. Fully embracing a Sonic universe. Add Tails & Knuckles in 2, Shadow in 3. Would be really cool to incorporate metal Sonic and Chaos at some point too

This was actually solid. Fun, entertaining flick and nothing more. Also, as someone who grew up playing the Sonic games it was great to see all the easter eggs and references. Loved Jim Carrey in this too. A pleasant surprise.

One thing I’m kinda confused about is how the film is set a bit before 1991 yet there are a few recent pop culture references in here. I mean it’s nothing major but I didn’t realize it was supposed to be set pre 91 til I read something about it.

Ummm where did you get the impression that it’s set in 1991? Nothing says that. I thought it was fairly obvious that it was suppose to be 2019/2020 in the movie

I was watching some YouTube video & they said it was. If it’s not then great cause it made no sense.

Edit: actually I think I just heard it wrong earlier. They said that the city it takes place in “Green Hills” was established in 1981, not the film taking place in 1981

Movie was bad. But wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Just another cheap Hollywood movie making something that really didn't have to be a live action movie into a live action movie.

Wasn't expecting it to be good. But this was just lazy. Throw it into the pile with Hop, Smurfs, Alvin and the Chipmunks and the like.

I was excited to see Tails in the end though. Looked adorable.
