Reminder that George Bush was friends with a guy who showed Lee Harvey Oswald around Texas. Oswald, the random Marxist marine who defected to the Soviet Union, came back eaisly, and hung out with a bunch of reactionary anti-communists and a Texas oil man for some reason.
Reminder that the Bush family did business with the Bin Laden family.
Think about that. The Bush family have zero to one degree of separation between them and 1) the man who is supposed to have assassinated JFK and 2) the man who is supposed to have orchestrated 9/11.
Anyway yeah cool dress
Got his ass

and Prescott Bush was a Nazi collaborator who funded Hitler’s rise to power and would later try to encourage General Smedley Butler to conduct the Business Plot coup against FDR
Evil evil family

And as long as the CIA and Patriot Act and such exist their legacy will continue
Off topic but do y’all think JFK was mythicized or was he genuinely a great man.
You only become a great man through being mythicized
You only become a great man through being mythicized
But cant it be possible to be mythicized for the wrong reasons
But cant it be possible to be mythicized for the wrong reasons
Of course, you can be mythicized based off things that didn’t happen/didn’t happen as portrayed
The key in what I’m saying is that there’s a difference between being a known as a “good guy” or whatever in your broader social circle (and maybe you’re just asking if JFK was this) vs being known as a “great man” in history, and people of this stature will necessarily have detractors and therefore there will be a battle between rival myths to determine their legacy - the problem is that with people of this stature, it’s difficult to separate out their being a “good guy” and their being a “great man” (and, of course, significance does not make a great man, I am interpreting it to mean someone who had/is perceived as having a positive impact). To give another example, Napoleon is certainly a great man in France while not in the UK - for the same actions. Thus, the mythologizing is what determines his status.
So whether your question is about JFK the man or JFK the politician, IMO it is difficult to disentangle, and the actions of both are linked to each other, but either way it is the “myths” building on these actions that create the perception of him, either positive or negative
when they roasted her on twitter 😂 ngl some of the funniest tweets ever

JFK was just a lib pretty boy surrounded and opposed by way worse men. Castro and Lumumba liked him. He was post-colonial even if he was still like fascinated by special ops and sent combat advisors and less heavy handed s*** like that. He was just like too progressive as a lib for his day, wouldn't invade Cuba after the Bay of Pigs, was not committing to Vietnam enough. The former could have been worse, the latter got a lot worse.
I think his brother became a great man. When JFK was assassinated RFK really doubled back on the imperialism and backed Civil Rights more strongly. Of course he was also assassinated. History betrayed twice.
so the hat had a hidden cannon

He had cool policies (detente and cooperation with the USSR instead of war) but overall was a pretty unfaithful man who was the product of nepotism. But every human is flawed and most US presidents are mythicized
Films like Executive Action and The Parallax View has intrigued me more about this assassination and pointed out its just corporate interests hired assassins with a select few people to commit the crime. Rather than Lee Harvey Oswald acted all alone as per the narrative goes. Plus never explains Lee's motive after being killed by Jack Ruby. Then there are more mysterious murders and killings after the event. Is it all conspiracy? Maybe. CIA asset? I don't know. Agent from Soviet Union? I don't know. It defines JFK might be the last great president since then.
I need to learn more about RFK
FBI and CIA saw this s*** and linked like the Avengers
