It's like you don't know what "should" means
If it can’t do that under the current system then the system must change.
Meh, I'm unimpressed.
You have no grasp on whether or not something that “should” happen can actually feasibly happen.
Even if the government “should” be the one doing such things in capitalism, the dynamics of capitalism entirely negate such a possibility
The system must change
If it can’t do that under the current system then the system must change.
At least we agree on that, although our thoughts on what constitutes a positive change clearly differ.

Capitalism fundamentally leads to this. It’s simple economics. A different path is needed.

*unchecked capitalism
*unchecked capitalism
Simply impossible to have otherwise. Capitalism is predicated on infinite growth (something contradictory to the very limited scope of flexibility we have in terms of natural exploitation), and to sustain the system, the government will eventually have to relinquish more and more control to a growing market. Eventually, the market will simply be more powerful than the government and will be able to manipulate it as well. As we can see now
We can see this in the UK with the slow yet steady defunding and privatization of various social services like the NHS and welfare in exchange for private, profit driven services
Capitalism, invariably, must become unchecked if the system wishes to continue growing and maintaining itself
This is a major contradiction to most people’s inherently individualistic ideals and the applications of liberalism

So what's your solution?
