Even if the government “should” be the one doing such things in capitalism, the dynamics of capitalism entirely negate such a possibility

Capitalism fundamentally leads to this. It’s simple economics. A different path is needed.

Eventually, the market will simply be more powerful than the government and will be able to manipulate it as well. As we can see now

We can see this in the UK with the slow yet steady defunding and privatization of various social services like the NHS and welfare in exchange for private, profit driven services

Capitalism, invariably, must become unchecked if the system wishes to continue growing and maintaining itself

This is a major contradiction to most people’s inherently individualistic ideals and the applications of liberalism
