I planned a Disney trip with my family for November because I haven’t been on vacation in years, and I have never been to Disney World. As we get older, I feel like time is ticking, and seeing my peers go on trips and explore every month inspired me to really push for vacations and try to live as much as possible.

Each year the fam will agree to the idea of a vacation but nothing comes to fruition, and then there’s always that one person trying to delay it by 6 months into the next season. This year we planned to visit Disney during late November for the Christmas decorations, and to explore each park for the first time and make memories in a cool resort during our favorite season. Now all of a sudden people aren’t sure if they can afford it/take time off and have started pulling out of the trip.

Would it be sus or weird for a solo male to go to Disney alone? On one hand, it would be a vacation, but on the other hand, I would be all alone with no one to share the memories with, plus I’d be riding coasters and exploring all alone. I feel like Disney is a place that benefits the most from being with a group of people. My trip would be for 7 days.

I've been to Disney World, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure numerous times and can't imagine going to those parks alone. I 100% recommend not doing this. It doesn't even matter if you're a male or not.

Go to some parks with some real roller coasters instead

I mean I just think there are better and more affordable vacations that could appeal to you more as a male than going to Disney.

But if it's something that you wanna do then go for it, I'm sure there's still fun to be had. Like Epcot and Animal Kingdom seem like they'd be fine solo

I feel like if you have the means and grew up on Disney s***, you owe it yourself to go to Disney at least once in your life. Gotta bunch of friends who have told me Disney as an adult is way better than Disney as a kid. I take their word for it cause I've gone a bunch of times as a kid and had my fill. But I'm sure it's cool to check out whether you're with friends, family, or solo.

idk that disney world is rly the best place to go solo, especially if ure already self conscious about it and just getting back into vacationing. u seem to concede as much

finding somewhere else (adult oriented theme park/domestic excursion/abroad to a diff country/etc) that meets the needs you would’ve experienced there and feels more comfortable visiting alone is key. then u can revisit this idea when you’re more confident and have a committed group to go with

Theme parks by yourself is incredibly freeing. It’s like the movies. Can eat whatever, can leave whenever, do whatever.

do what makes you happy, please stop relying on others to share moments with otherwise you will always stay right where you are. You can have solo memories that you thoroughly enjoy without anyone ever having to know about it. Also get off social media, that s*** is all flexing in 2026 and you’re basing your reality on other people’s wins and not their losses it took to get to that vacation. Learn to love yourself
