I love it, it’s just a regular city lol idk why people depict it as some sort of corn town. 500,000 people in the city proper and it’s a million person metro. We have great food (tons of great Ethiopian and other international food since were one of the main places the government sends refugees), lots of great neighborhoods to go f*** around in, good music and arts scene and we get great shows regularly. Lot of leftists here too so have a lot of good comrades

It has all the same problems and bullshit as any other US city and all the fun things that come with it. Pretty standard all around. Basically just a smaller Chicago/St Louis. Kansas City MO is probably the most comparable city (which is also dope btw)

Worst parts about it is the developers run everything and so the City is constantly facilitating the destruction of its own history. It’s also one of the most segregated cities in the US.

Minus the bullshit tho I’m overall happy here and recommend it if you want good city options for pretty a pretty affordable price
