How was visiting europe
So dope, wish I was still there. Like both France and England a lot for different reasons. Trying to see like Germany or Italy next
Think I might try to do a work away program or some s*** for a few months once I secure another promotion at my current job

I liked how in both countries there just seemed to be a lot more public spaces to hang out in. And how great public transportation is, not only within the cities but to other cities as well. Here if you don’t have a car (like me) going to different cities means get planes everywhere or s***ty long ass bus rides. It would be nice to be able to have a train system that allows me to take more day trips and stuff instead of having to take off a bunch of work to travel somewhere. France I just really like the vibe all around, was great just getting to hang in cafes and s*** talking to people and reading and what not. Also goat that they like all have Wednesday off work for whatever reason
England was great since I’m a big fan of jungle/dub/grime/ukg etc so it was great to go to shows and be able to talk to people who are also passionate about that type of stuff
Most surprising I guess was how people were generally quite welcoming. Didn’t know if people kinda just wrote off US people as dumbass tourists or whatever. Made a couple cool friends

Bout to have a sit down with two tenants and their landlord to demand their AC be fixed plus an opening demand of $2,000 in compensation for the issues they put them through wish us luck
How do we feel about J Sakai
i think there is a fundamental misunderstanding of the revolutionary potential of the white working class and an entirely unreasonable level of criticism against some great revolutionaries but the narrative that the white proletariat exhibit a clear class superiority to nonwhite proletariat in the US is something I find myself sympathetic to

That was one of the longest landlord confrontations I’ve had to do. F***ing exhausting.
The tenants killed it tho and made their case well, and I was able to successfully mediate and push back on stuff when the landlord tried to take things off track or spew some bullshit. Sadly, we didn’t get a direct answer as they want us to submit the demand in writing, and then negotiate that way. On a very positive note, the landlord actually brought up the idea of monetary compensation before we even brought our demand, which I have never had happen. Also surprisingly, they didn’t immediately laugh at our demand like most landlords do at first
I think we can secure at least 1k from these guys pretty easily knock on wood

I thought you meant he was paid to kill a guy but went rogue and decided to do a mass shooting instead
Im reading stuff on it rn some theories are
like the dems rallied with antifa and isis to take down trump
You were saying other journalists were killed prior to the guy this week?
Here’s the “formal written demand” we sent off in regards to the tenant issue I mentioned earlier. Lmk if yall have any criticisms or input, always looking for feedback @americana @Scratchin_Bandit
“Good evening,
Thank you for taking the time to meet with us today. Attached are receipts pertaining to Josh and Rosa's expenses they have had to incur as a result of their malfunctioning AC unit. Per our earlier discussion, we are submitting a formal demand of $2,386 in monetary compensation, as well as sufficient repairs to the AC unit in Josh and Rosa's apartment so that they and their child can live in a more safe, comfortable, and healthy dwelling. We believe this to be a reasonable demand to resolve the present issue, and provide Josh and Rosa with compensation for the material and emotional hardships that they have had to endure as a result.
We came to this demand based upon the following:
$720: Total amount of equipment that Rosa and Josh have had to pay out of pocket in the form of additional portable cooling units in order to make their living situation at least somewhat bearable. We'd point out that this is a compromise, given that they have also invested in specialty blinds and a new mattress in order to provide themselves some relief. See receipts below.
$600: This represents the additional - and highly excessive - energy costs Josh and Rosa have had to incur over the past several months as a result of their malfunctioning AC unit.
$1,066: This represents one month of rent. Given that their child has been unable to consistently live in their home as regularly as she normally would due to the excessive heat conditions, it is our position that this represents a diminution in living conditions. As discussed, we would refer you to Section 76-1427 of the Nebraska Landlord Tenant Act, which states that if a landlord fails to provide adequate amounts of essential services, a tenant may "recover damages based upon the diminution in the fair rental value of the dwelling unit".
In sum, $2,386.
As discussed at the meeting today, we would refer to you to Statute 76-1439, subsection (b), of the Nebraska Landlord Landlord Tenant Act, which affirms a tenant's right to organize with a tenants' union or similar organization. Josh and Rosa reserve the right to have any member of Omaha Tenants United speak on their behalf, and be present for any and all verbal or electronic communications regarding this matter.
Josh, Rosa, and Omaha Tenants United look forward to a timely response to this demand, and we are confident that we can come to a swift, amicable solution for all parties involved.
Sincerely,
Omaha Tenants United”
