It was unsustainable. The ethnic tensions between the people there were and still are too high, for historical reasons. It was only a matter of time before everything collapsed.

Tito was a good dude tho

I gotta question, so most socialists/leftists are completely against voting for either biden or trump right ? so what exactly is the goal of completely restraining from voting? what’s the desired outcome?

from my perspective, as far as voting for president, sure you should exercise your right to do so but...

The desired outcome is whatever steps that come closer to legislation/policy/local representatives/governors/etc that are able 2 implement more compassionate policies when it comes to healthcare, education and otherwise,

Just the one act of voting someone in is only a small part, especially when it's still the dem establishment pretty much, I know so many people hate Kamala; I'm just hoping to a certain degree since she is on the younger side when it comes to politicians that she'll feel like she has something to prove and does some good things if and when she gains the office, I do think Biden has a personal thing with healthcare because he was proud of that work and Trump and REpublicans have tried to do everything in their power to remove it /repeal it without even having an inkling of a replacement but idk this all might be a bunch of useless bullshit to say

It's kind of weird for a socialist in the U.S. I feel like u gotta use other terminology to persuade people due to HEAVY anti-communist and anti-socialist rhetoric for decades/century(ies)

Bernie popularized a lot of those ideas the past four or more years to a certain degree and then in 2018 midterms some young women got elected that label themselves democratic socialists so as far as I'm concerned its slowly becoming more acceptable,

It's just the momentum needs to continue, because obviously capitalism is a big part of what led to so much of the greed and issues we have right now and have had since the 80s and before

I'll be more interested when American politicians confront the stranglehold so many of these beloved corporations have on workers in prison or in internment camp or whatever u want to call each situation,

def seems like there are some more well-read/educated people ITT that could speak more in depth to that, or are tired by now of such a discouraging fight all the time

    (edited post to rephrase)
