My g you can't really say this to me when you're pushing for a stateless, classless, moneyless society. Your mind should be a little more open than this.

u realize that you're simultaneously saying the above while wanting to be effectively an "ethical Jeff Bezos"

Take some time with that one if you have to

Can we at least agree that he has a preposterous and unnecessary amount of wealth.

It's f***ing ridiculous. What merit is that. What virtue is that. High score on the capitalist scoreboard? with rockefeller or carnegie

Richest 1% owned 50% of the world's wealth in 2014.

These get money from millionaires (or in Shapiros case, billionaires as the Koch Brothers) to make their cute lil videos, all astroturfed s*** Same for PragerU

For real, and the older conservatives champion these young people spouting this to make them feel better

The likelihood of you winning the lottery is higher. That said, you can run a small business somewhat benevolently, although it will cut into your profits.

It's gonna be way more than a small business.

And profit isn't the end goal.

I mean I don't know. Like most of Jeff Bezos wealth isn't real money. It's ownership of Amazon stock valued at unfixed price. Literally within a few months he could lose billions of dollars and still have all the exact same assets, have to pay the same amount in taxes, have the same amount of cash in the bank.

So I don't know I think the focus on billionaire's ownership of stock is a little ridiculous and highly unproductive because it's not like Jeff Bezos can just sell all that Amazon stock and then end world hunger with 99 billion dollars so he can have a billion left over. That's not really how it works man. In reality we don't know how much legitimate wealth Bezos has. Now if were to figure out what his assets were and how much cash he had, maybe then I could say that he has an excess amount of resources that could be more efficiently used by other people who need it more. But at the same time some of those assets will be things such as yachts, mansions, land. Things that are also a pretty impractical to suggest that it is simply wealth that can be redistributed. Like how do you redistribute a $50M yacht? You get what I'm saying?

So I mean yeah I think Jeff Bezos could probably live a significantly less lavish lifestyle and donate most of his disposable money, but it wouldn't change the fact that he's still worth tens of billions of dollars.

Ima make it possible. But I also will probably never be the richest person on Earth due to the approach I wish to practice. But I want to build a corporation that destroys Amazon without having to be Jeff Bezos. I'd like for all my employees to have the opportunity to become my direct competitor one day. I'm not on some "I don't want the world to change if I'm not the one doing it" type vibe I just wanna be a leader in this type of business philosophy.

At the end of the day, I'm really counting on people like yall ITT to help me build a company that can successfully compete with Amazon while being owned by its entire work force. Even if yall are against capitalism you can't tell me this isn't a step in the right direction.

Eh I wouldn't really say he's taking Koch money. Like your post makes it seem like they fund his whole operation. They do fund TPUSA which pays Shapiro thousands each time he speaks, but the Koch brothers aren't involved with The Daily Wire.

Also I'm just curious you get what I'm saying when it comes to Bezos' wealth right? Like when it comes down to actual wealth that can be distributed to people, he might not even be the one with the most disposable amount. Someone like Gates or Buffet might have more than Bezos.

To a degree I know the figures are arbitrary but acknowledging that doesn’t change what I believe about him and his wealth

Like I understand there’s liquid cash and then assets tied up in all sorts of ways and business deals but it doesn’t change just how wealthy that man is, none of it

We can downplay bezos wealth all day and I’ll still think it’s f***ed up. This mf is full on one of the seven deadly sins 😂
