    @LuxuryWhip

    Hence it inevitably creates a society where poor people who have never done anything good with their lives other than harbour resentment are suddenly justified in being allowed to enact the wrath of their envy upon those who worked hard/smart and managed to forge success for themselves

    This presumes that all these "poor people" have actually never done anything good with their lives. It also presumes that they have no right to feel resentment towards those who benefit from a system due to a roulette of "winning factors". And it also presumes that the "winners" have all worked hard and smart for their wealth (and that those who actually have are the exclusive targets of such resentment).

    That’s why in my eyes it’s built upon resentment.

    As it should be. But it's not like American capitalism isn't built upon and fueled by far more unnecessary resentment of nations abroad, for things like, idk, access to the resources that top the charts of global commerce.

    Obviously these kinds of poor people are a minority. But it doesn’t change the fact that it results in a society that is built on a warped sense of morality. It’s immoral

    The resentment of the exploited is not immoral, but claiming they are because of their exploitable position sure as hell is.

    The propaganda (especially copaganda) is so obvious in adult TV so now I just want to do a deep dive into it on children's tv

    Law & Order SVU is one of my favorite shows but it's clear copaganda.

    The Shield is probably the only cop show with honesty imo but they couldn't end the show without trying to make you feel sympathy for one of the corrupt officers.

    its just wild to me looking through a tv guide and all you see sometimes is "chicago pd" "NCIS los angeles" "law and ordrer svu" "blue bloods" etc not to mention the other shows that aren't about cops but reinforce the idea that they are good.
