President Xi Jinping has asked officials to step up efforts to uphold the principle that Islam in China must be Chinese in orientation and religions in the country should adapt to the socialist society being pursued by the ruling Communist Party of China.

The normal religious needs of believers should be ensured and they should be united closely around the party and the government, Xi added.

In the past few years, the president has been advocating the “sinicization” of Islam which broadly means bringing it in tune with the policies of the ruling Communist Party.

Stressing the importance of cultural identity, Xi called for educating and guiding people of all ethnic groups to strengthen their identification with the motherland, the Chinese nation, Chinese culture, the Communist Party of China (CPC) and socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Best to ignore that nigga he's actually insane. He also genuinely believes there is a big hole in the north pole that leads to the underground world from the Godzilla Vs. Kong movie and that's why WW2 was fought. There's a lot of Conspiracies about the catholic church among his kind but it's usually something about the Vatican secretly being satan worshippers, controlling the world and hiding a big secret from humanity. That type of stuff used to be very popular America cuz of racism against the influx of catholic immigrants but its died down since then.

This why I even tho the EU is of course a neoliberal institution and an instrument for imperialism, this idea that many Americans have exiting the EU based on a wave of far-right nationalist sentiment like Brexit is a win for the left is ridiculous, in many cases the EU overriding the policy of national governments is actually a good thing when they're so reactionary

When there's a leftist coming to power and the EU will inevitably override their radical policies then we can talk

I'd like to mention the EU economic laws. They forbid for example nationalization a lot of times to ensure a COMPETITIVE EUROPEAN MARKET.

Yeah EU is thoroughly neoliberal the point is just that when leaving the EU is led by even more reactionary politics while that party is also still in power that's not gonna help further any left-wing policies, if anything it'll do the opposite
