Needed some Marx quotes for a essay in my political science class on the economy. This was one of the ones I found online while looking, don't think it's something he actually said though.

yeah that definitely does not sound like marx lol. and tbh i would avoid any type of quote like that for an essay.

@Frog I can’t claim to even be a Socialist yet as I’m still just learning all the theory so no way I would go that hard on an essay related to economics.
I used a quote just about the failures of capitalism

I have been reading alot of the stuff off this site nodo50.org/mai/idiomas/ingles/study-plan.html that Pexlivanis sent me. I've also been listening to Revolutionary Left which you suggested, I got alot of good ideas about why Social Democracy isn't the answer or compromise we need in the long run off one of their episodes.
I'm planning on getting one or two physical books soon since I'd prefer to read something physical rather then off a website. It's nice to not look at a screen for a bit.
Debating between if I should read something more modern or goto the classic writing of Marx.

Nice
One book that I would really recommend on the historical record of socialism would be "Blackshirts and Reds" by Michael Parenti.
His lectures are really great too:

I reccomend some Edward Said, Frantz Fanon, J Sakai and Louis Althusser after you're done that introductory plan
