right, i understand western propaganda, impacts of western imperialism and that stuff. those things suck too. but are you really telling me that those 2 points absolve NK of any criticism? do you really think that there is not enough truth out there about that country to say it sucks? the fact that its clearly a dictatorship is one and enough reason to justify that it sucks.

What's the best way to learn Socialism? I know the basics but would like to learn more, to see if this is something I can get behind.

I'm really intrigued by socialism, right now I'd classify myself as a "Bernie Bro," Social Democrat, or whatever but I haven't really taken a deep dive into Socialism yet.
Morally, I agree on the principals, but I have logistical questions
as much as I feel as though American socdems have been important in moving the general overton window further left and have pushed for reforms that I think are important, I'm still never sure at how I feel about them referring to themselves as "socialists" because I know as soon as any actual socialist movement starts to gain traction these same social democrats will look at these socialists as going "too far left" as they've consistently done throughout history

yeah i generally feel like they shouldnt do it because it distorts what socialism actually is. just call yourself progressives and run with that.

Maybe the most rudimentary piece to start with. Sections 14,17, and especially 18 should have some of what you’re looking for, I believe.
This was written over 150 years ago so a more modern roadmap is needed imo to better show average workers how specifically their lives can be improved through communism. But you can see some of these principles still guide the modern social democrats and democratic socialists in terms of their policies.
