looked in the thread and next page is the guy talking about Falangism quoting José Antonio Primo de Rivera, saying Jews need to be criticized more, and then denying the holocaust

two pages later he just straight up quotes hitler

on an individual level (like to family members or friends or something), i'd say don't explicitly focus on or obsess over it needing to be textually marxist (like hey guys actually did you know marxism says whatever and that's why you should listen).
Instead, just discuss the topics from that lens in terms of how it would relate to that. just jumping into it with talking about socialist evangelism is going to always turn people away (in the US). By comparison, if you focus on the takeaways from those movements or ideas in a vacuum, people are usually way more receptive specifically because most people actually do have no idea what socialism/etc is outside of the buzzwords.

I would also say at the same time, don't obsess with trying to get people to dispel takes which might seem reactionary. Like if someone is angry that the media airbrushed a mugshot to make someone seem more white , I don't think it's worth it to spend time arguing on that. Contrary to popular belief, I don't think people who say this stuff or whatever are immediatedly just to be considered lumpenproles or something. Being willing to talk to people like this about these topics you want to spread awareness of even in light of them being mad about culture war stuff is far more likely to make them willing to affirm a movement (and thus maybe shed some of their more reactionary beliefs over time) than trying to get them to be convinced what they're saying isn't important at all first.

@Vox forgot to respond to your post but Ethiopia's admission to the league of nation was initially rejected by some countries with slavery being one of the states reasons, Haile Selassie defended it based on the fact that it's "Ethiopian culture"

I try bro but honestly I'm tryna learn more but I got an advantage in my mom herself being directly involved in Ethiopian politics at the time I got some inside info

And yeah that would be amazing... Western powers really did everything to keep that region in conflict and prevent unity and it worked

I know my dad was mad active politically to the point that Ethiopia barred him from leaving for a while but he never tells me anything but the same general overlook of the story so you're fortunate that your mom really goes deep with her experience and her insights
