yeah i was sort of expecting it to go somewhere after the second part but then he just kinda started talking about the ontology of subjectivity from a Hegelian perspective and i didn't really connect the dots... like i understood what he was getting at in part 1 with ideology and how capitalism reproduces itself today because people take an ironic/cynical distance to it and yet still shape their lives around commodities, but i didn't see the through line once he got to the graph of desire and started talking about master signifiers, the big other and all that s***... there were always good sections of the book that were cool to read but I didn't really get how he tied it all together. Also he never said what the sublime object of ideology was but idk i still enjoyed it but im gonna have to go back over it or something cause the 2nd and 3rd parts were just too dense
