you're right

there's much more to the conflict than "Ukraine has Nazi's". People keep straw manning our position though and act like we blindly regurgitate Russian propaganda which is why there's so much back and forth in that other thread basically just repeating ourselves over and over again

seeing ML's on Twitter defend Russia and say that they're fr denazifying Ukraine

oligarchs who violently repress the working class while letting racist ultranationalists flourish in their country are nothing to celebrate. The Russian government stands up to NATO/Western Imperialism yea cool, doesn't change the fact that they're a massive class enemy who will experience the same fate as the Romanov scum

i wonder if so many people w leadership positions in the military and politics having completely immaterial and ignorant understandings of geopolitics is a symptom of the larger liberalization of history and the very US focused nature of our history schooling. especially considering the US is pretty isolated so US history naturally involves very little involvement from other countries. i know that everything ive ever learned about history from growing up in the US has been completely on my own.

plus the propagandized and whitewashed erasure of history surely doesn't help either.

makes me wonder if this will backfire in any meaningful way in the future. i mean most brainwashed cia patsies being inducted from college campuses fully believe this s***. not to some malicious geopolitical advantage but just because they genuinely believe that its real.

like knowing how little liberals understand about geopolitics now, how could the current historically revisionist education policies not result in an even more inept state apparatus
