just seen the same old f***in arguments dude
just not interesting
dont care
doesn't effect me materially
not something i want to argue / talk / debate / learn about
i just dont see the point of being in here talking about "y'all dont criticize these old socialist states enough"
That's not at all what I said, but even then what's the point of posting here at all? It's a discussion forum not a search for a missing person or whatever.

Why do so many “tankies”, who consider themselves Marxists, refuse to a***yze ML states objectively?
Like my guy read the past 10 pages or so, like half if it is about a***yzing the faults of the USSR & China and what we should learn from that
Why do so many “tankies”, who consider themselves Marxists, refuse to a***yze ML states objectively?
Objective a***ysis = criticize it more, you sure got me there! Thanks for the discussion.

What is your point lmao
You came itt talking abt tankies and s*** and assuming that we use China and Cuba as proof that the Soviet model worked and a bunch of other assumptions
You already made up your mind, if you wanna ask what our a***ysis is you could just ask, literally a couple of pages ago I linked a book that makes an a***ysis of the USSRs failures and what socialism could look like in the future
But you just came itt to own the tankies or whatever
Saw someone on Reddit say Socialists want to collect more taxes to increase the military budget
Yes I know

You already admitted you didn't read my posts, I'm not gonna retype them for you my guy. You can continue to make up an imaginary version of them to get mad at, that's obviously much more fun to you.

I unfortunately did read ur post and there's really no invitation to discussion just an exessively long post with a bold claim and no arguments to back it up lol
Tankies bad
Tankies not real materialist because they don't wanna objectively a***yze socialist states
"Inb4 but china"
Like most ppl itt don't even consider China to be socialist, you're just making up a strawman and arguing against that thinking you dunked on the tankies

Literally only used "tankies" once and that's in scarequotes, I go on to say that it's not a problem exclusive to MLs. Didn't say they are "bad" either. Inb4 China as in inb4 somebody points to China as a state that didn't radically transform from its orthodox foundation. But you love interpretimg everything in the most bad faith way possible and assume everything is some sort of vicious attack. I'm not gonna bother replying to you anymore.
How do you all envision your politics changing as AI shrinks the working class through elimination of simple jobs?

Alright buddy

Wym by the working class shrinking? The people who used to have those simple jobs are not gonna be the owners of the technology, so they're either still gonna be workers or dependent on UBI or whatever
just found out my parents cant afford for me to go to college anywhere. My only option is Hezbullah now.
@Fargo Even if ur meming i wouldnt post shyt like dis online fella if i lived in the usa

Wont this require a distinction between those working and creating wealth, and having their labor effectively stolen through wage slavery, and those not working and thus not experiencing labor theft? I think there will have to be 3 classes, the tech owners, the tech operators, and the tech bystanders. My question is what marxist groups will consider the bystanders, who are by turn both being exploited as pure consumers with no material power and exploiting the operators by accepting their work free lifestyle.
Idk how clear that is, but all Im trying to say is theres concepts from marxism that dont seem like they will make sense in the near future

I agree that automation could create a possible distinction between those who work and those who live off UBI, but I think you're mistaken in assuming that living off UBI would be the more desirable position to be in.
Gotta keep in mind that these "bystanders" are the ones whose labor has been replaced by automation and essentially has no leverage to bargain against the bourgeoisie. The people who would still be employed are those who have the higher paying jobs today, if being unemployed is morr attractive financially they would just quit.
I think the bourgeoisie could end up pitting the employed vs the unemployed in a way that we already see today, but ramped up even more.
I don't know which Marxist concepts exactly you think wouldn't apply anymore though?
