more people need to find out the imperialism their own country conducts and the history of their country communist movements, I tend to see too many people overly focus on the US even if they arent from there, especially from a lot of Euro posters who think its only America conducting imperialism.
for any Canadians, I found this great independent media that goes into Canadian imperialism, Canadian leftist history, and politics

The subject takes pride in not having any relationship with the entire historic concrete movement of the working class socialist and liberation revolutions. They take pride in not having any theoretical or political connection to the revolutions in China, Russia, Viet Nam, Algeria, Mozambique and Angola. They are, instead, proud of the supposed purity that their theory is not contaminated by the hardship of exercising power, by the contradictions of historical processes. Being pure is what provokes this narcissistic o*****. This purity is what makes them feel superior. It makes them feel that they have a privileged moral and ethical standpoint compared to the other leftists
no sorry i dont do audiobooks
I feel you, I usually don't either but I can't read due to a health condition right now and am still looking for ways to learn and that's a book I got really interested in after seeing it in your profile a while back and was hoping you'd have one after I saw you link some other audiobooks earlier
Just one more thing to look forward to whenever I get right, thanks for putting me on 🙏🏾

a lot of Mao's work tend to be more like an essay than a book so im a list a few that arent too different reading materials but go along very nicely together.
1. A***ysis of Classes in Chinese Society and Report on an Investigation of the Peasant Movement In Hunan
I like these because it shows the importance of conducting class a***ysis in one's country and how one should go about it, dont exactly read whats written but try understand how he formulated the ideas hes putting out. The second I would say read as the same way as before but instead an emphasis how communist should a***ysis movements.

2. On Practice, Combat Liberalism, On Contradictions
On Practice is about on how to be a communist in person, in action and not just someone who f***s with communist ideas and does nothing to forward the movement. Combat Liberalism is about fighting against inner liberalism and how to be more of a communist within relations of intra communist orgs, ive seen way too many people misrepresent this and say u cant be friends with people of other tendencies . On Contradictions is a bit abstract from the other two but its prob the best explanation of the philopshy side of marxism which On Practice touches on a little but On Contradictions go much more in-depth.

3. On Protracted War and Guerrilla Warfare
For the more military side of Mao thinking, and im not sure if he explains it in the text but is the reason why many Maoist dont believe another insurgent type revolution like USSR will happen again, but we'll need to rely more on a protracted peoples war.

Also On the Correct Handling of Contradictions Among the People, sorry just a little lazy right now to write something up for this but it fits in with one and two, and Oppose Bookworship fits in with two which is also great.

Links ordered in the way I mentioned them in the subheading. Also not exactly what u wanted sorry lol, but you cant really read Mao like you can with Lenin with just State and Revolution and Imperialism and then be "done" with him.
