If you have a parent or relative who was formerly president, that’s one thing
But when you literally assume leadership after the death of said relative, and remain leader for life, then yeah it’s hereditary
Also I don’t watch cnn you absolute moron, the North Korean government and media explicitly claim Kim jong un as their leader

he didnt "assume" leadership, you literally dont know what you're talking about. if you'd like to actually learn about how the DPRK's government works than there's plenty that's been written about it from other marxists but if you're here to play mock UN debate club than nobody is gonna give you the time of day, and you can bounce from this thread.

If I can acknowledge that the west is full of corruption and lies, why can’t you?
No matter how democratic DPRK claims to be, Kim jong un is the leader. You know he is. And so was his father, and so was his grandfather. Of course as “socialists” they’ll never admit to him being leader cause of his ancestry, but it’s right in front of you

families being involved in the leadership of nations is a literal global phenomenon, but you're choosing to focus on the DPRK by calling it a monarchy because that's what you're told to care about. ideology is the result of class position, id suggest you be a bit more introspective about why it is you care about what it is that you care about.

How is it the Kim's fault?

If you self appoint yourself as “supreme ruler” over your people I think the health of said people is a fair metric to judge your effectiveness as a an “supreme ruler”

North Korea doesn’t dominate my concerns geopoliticaly, I’m just calling it as it is. You have yet to explain how you can justify a man being leader right after his father and grandfather were, so you have to hide behind examples of other families that have roles in politics. Also I’m against inheritances when it comes to wealth, so logically, I’m against inheritances when it comes to power as well

The north korean people's support is enough justification imo.

So by that logic, the failure of socialist revolutions is fine because the support of the people was against them

justify it to who? God? the historical context for families being involved in politics is clear but no one can bridge the gap between the noumenon and phenomenon for you.

but that's not true and color revolutions were supported by vocal bourgeous minorities with CIA backing

the result of the referendum to break up the USSR was that 78% of the population were against it, in what way were the color revolutions of the late 80s the will of "the masses"

Justify as in reconcile with your other political beliefs. Kim had opportunities available to him that many of his countrymen do not have, which basically goes against everything a true socialist society is trying to establish

I mean in 1917 in Germany and Eastern Europe, before the cia even existed

uh, my political beliefs are to not be paternalistic, chauvanistic, or imperialistic; and to uphold nations to the right of self-determination; please dont assume you know s*** about socialism or marxism-leninism when you so obviously don't.
