i mean yeah we are certain levels of hypocritical each time we participate in different areas of an unjust system, although it’s one that tries to keep you in its grasp

smartphones are this insane priority like most places that can get them. people would be behind on bills rent anything and still have to have a smartphone it’s this requirement to participate in society to be able to survive in it well

im mainly interested in the Taliban, who they are, what they do, etc (so perhaps a book on Soviet invasion until now)

a second interest: outside of just Afghanistan, how the states of the Muslim world operate - sort of a survey of the history of the Muslim / Arab world in general
