They're really trying to grease up the hands of the new IEA govt., to keep the oppressed Uyghur population at bay.
The oppression and subjugation of Muslims by a state always creates a Pandora's box of radicalization ripe to be opened, we saw it with America f***ing around in the Middle East and we see China is worried about their own situation too, so they're trying to avoid that outcome to not be seen as a opponent.

yea i mean this is the best case scenario for both parties.
helps the people out too, a conflict on that border would be terrible for everybody.

With China's ambitions to expand territorially, which they are doing aggressively compared to the usual, I feel like that will inevitably happen, or if the Afghanistan's IEA government fails and a civil war breaks out, and the cards have to fall into place in terms of picking sides.
It's gonna be a interesting time for geopolitics.

You see it with Taiwan and the South China Sea stuff right now.
Even the Belt-Road initiative has been argued to be "soft imperialism" and neo-colonialism in which Xi is trying to build up a bloc of nations subservient to the Chinese state, in an effort to combat NATO and to contest their power.
I won't be surprised if they try any sort of occupation, is what I'm saying.

tbh looking at it materially I only really see China as likely being much more interested in regional stability than any extractivist economic imperialism.

I mean tbh she's already just a closeted lib anyway tbh lol
I could see her become a more outspoken neolib tbh but i think her being trans would stop her from becoming real fascist tho

LIMA, Peru -- Authorities admitted Wednesday that a shipment of 10,000 North Korean rifles and ammunition that arrived in Peru with false documents had been ordered by the government.
The government of President Alan Garcia had ordered the AKM 65 automatic rifles to outfit police to fight Maoist Shining Path rebels, an Interior Ministry statement said.
Can someone explain to me whose side I’m supposed to take here and why?? Regardless of how you feel about hasan I thought he was explaining s*** well but then this guy reacting to it came through with some good counterpoints, kind of challenged my whole idea of how I understand socialism
I guess maybe I just have more reading to do

Sorry but how are Taiwan and the South China “expansionist” goals when those are obviously Chinese lands just held by belligerent governments as a result of past imperial meddling
