im talking about recent movements but yeah at the end most did succumb to greed and human nature even if it was via infiltration.
Human nature does not exist
How my folks feeling
still have a small well of optimism
even though i hide it
i think we can do anything
I dont really want to get into a socialism conversation, but like I said as having family who came from a socialist country, the biggest issue is eventually human greed and manipulation will take over even if the original leaders don't have that sentiment and then it will get all control of the populace, I said I much prefer a system like what Libertarians want where its difficult to get power. In America many pro socialist groups have basically disbanded due or lost any significance due to Greed once they get massive support, blm for instance is one as of recent.
I can see why you didn’t want to get into a socialism conversation

Human nature….
Time to read
Why do yall so confidently post ahistorical nonsense
It’s really tiresome and worrying. We will never overthrow the status quo when ignorance is so rife

i almost want to apologize i tagged u in here, u posted, and got attacked...
I will give you that many leftists movements either fizzle out or just don't measure up to a lot of what we idealize and lately I've been thinking like...
BLM, PSL, whoever else is nearby, is worth a shot if they're getting out there and doing positive things in the community, even if nothing is perfect due to this human nature you seem fixated on, because there is the foundation (people) that may share more ideas than one thinks. I've been looking for ways to get closer to the community and see what i can offer and what people are really needing right now.
There are also some movements or segments of movements that claim to be progressive but still feed in to capitalism, the two-party system, wholeheartedly, i.e. the Democratic party and its subservient platform narratives
all and all make sure you're conscious of class/socioeconomics and remember that we're all human beings trying to survive, the issue is some people can't even get access to the bare necessities for their survival and we would like to see that changed

I agree with you but groups like blm are doing the opposite, they made their movement about race instead of class which is the real problem, but this was by design so there never is a solution only confusion. Also groups like blm end up giving a sentiment to some of its followers thats similar to the white supremacists they hate just on the opposite spectrum, doesn't matter if its unintentional its clearly happening and it causes more divide among the populace, like I said the people in power clearly like the way its playing out.

i think blm is a vessel for community organizing that can be made to focus on class and other stuff, it’s just what you make of it. not everything in it is set in stone so i think some good things can still happen within the loose framework of it. now as far as nationally not all of the chapters are on the same page of course. some are more coopted than others
All i’m saying is, each of these groups is made up of people just like you or me it’s just a matter of the focus. not every chapter of every group is doing the same s***. some might be good, some might be ass

worst case scenario: if a blm chapter is wack (i.e. taking pics with the cops, championing capitalism as an end goal) i still think there are bound to be brilliant minds involved in it that would also be open to socialist causes (which would also attack white supremacy)
this is just me being vaguely optimistic but also considering it can fall and has fallen short
@faded that being said, i feel like i shouldn’t even speak authoritatively on the subject because i haven’t been out there in the organizing field yet. I’ve just recently found out about some stuff in my area that sounds interesting so i’m hopeful once i get prepared for the fall ima check out some of this stuff

blm lost any credibility a long time ago, and it'll never be able to bridge any gaps in the future. Also im not for socialism so im not for what you guys think you want. Im just against big corperations and the current establishments. Socialism as we knew it is far from the answer, our current system just needs certain fixing, I would be for UBI and banning foreign and corporate ownership of single family homes.

who said were looking for “socialism as we knew it” in the first place

every aspect of socialism still comes with force, you might think you're not but it always will be, for example slogans like silence is violence and the way it was done is completely the exact same tactics as the Nazi's, if you understood how sentiment played out then you would see it too.

“how sentiment played out”
a lot of ur ideas start, but don’t give an example to give context to what you’re referring to.
So let say with one aspect of socialism -worker rights/ownership, let’s say workers strike or something and clash with police during that,
is that an example you’re thinking of or are you thinking more along the lines of a full socialist revolution taking over the gov

nope y'all aint ready to hear the truth, look deeper and you will see. I know so much about communism the craziest part is that you guys think you're smarter than the Trotskys, Titos and everyone else from that time, trust me these people were way smarter than you all and at the end the outcome became what it was.
