The CIA not bullshitting about the reality of communism knowing full well what they themselves were supporting was what really radicalized me

I know ppl that come itt gonna think we’re hypocrites tho

well i mean the CIA has no reason to lie in those docs because no ones going to stop them, plus they already got away with whatever they got away with and the USSR is no more, anyway. so there’s not much there to argue with

Lol this sense of righteousness is useless. Why should we allow the existence of oppressive ideology to occur for the sake of some sort of “liberty”

Is it oppressive to not allow fascism to exist as an ideology? Why not extend the same to capitalism on account of their inherently oppressive nature

How do you intend on removing ideas from public discussion?

    Incentive

That's interesting details if you would? I worry about how a state can remove those ideas it opposes without being inherently oppressive. Note this is not a critique of socialism but state power

the state is always inherently oppressive lol. anyone who claims otherwise is fooling themselves.

but, the material gains of the people will be enough to render all those reactionary ideologies obsolete.

    Precisely

The point is to direct the state’s inherent oppression towards dismantling itself by redistributing the power it holds to the people who uphold it

The only reason it isn’t done right off the start is because of reactionary and state-upholding ideas that have their existence threatened by socialism and other left ideas, who then immediately attack the weak state

The meme talking about banning those with differing ideas.
I'd like to see socialist ideas in the mainstream but to claim those should be the only ones... that I won't agree with

With the overthrow of an economic systen, the ideas of the previous disappear from the mainstream, we don't have people advocating for feudalism or slavery in the mainstream either anymore

The CIA themselves described the USSR as Democratic

No regimme in which the head of estate gets to stay in power for decades is democratic. Simple as that.

Once again, people elected through a democratic process elected him

    Term limits aren’t undemocratic

Yeah idk how the US is any more Democratic than the USSR

The people don’t even elect members of the Electoral college, let alone the president
