Pretty crazy how many "leftist" accounts there are who are literally just Han nationalists desperate to see the Chinese economy grow by any means necessary
I know the people you are talking about and they’re literally just Right wing nationalists. Nothing marxist or even anti imperialist about them. If the Chinese government is inconvenienced then they throw all talk of leftism out the window.
Also whats crazy is ill see people bash the soviet union but china isnt a quarter of what the soviet union ever was
One of my students used the word exploited on an assignment so I asked them about it and they started telling me about Marxism and all that lol
Turns out their family was former Panthers/civil rights activists

RIP legend, he was my first introduction to communism. I'll never forget reading Blackshirts and Reds for the first time, finished it in 2 days.
being able to verbalize aspects of ML theory i’ve retained through reading is p insane considering the first ~8 months post cog stroke i could go to the next room and forget whatever i just did in the room prior because of the amnesia
VICTORY: OMAHA TENANTS UNITED BEATS UPL ACCUSATIONS, DEFEATS LANDLORD LOBBY
After nearly a year since the Unlicensed Practice of Law Commission served OTU with bogus accusations of practicing law without a license, we have received formal notice from the UPL Commission that our case has been dismissed. This represents a significant victory for the tenants movement in Omaha. We have it on very good information that these accusations stemmed from a large corporate landlord whose tenants we successfully organized, and was the likely product of a coordinated campaign by the local landlord lobby to shut down the growing militant tenants movement in Nebraska. Not satisfied with the Metropolitan Omaha Property Owners Association’s (MOPOA) successful efforts to make code enforcement effectively impossible via the 2015 Consent Decree, the landlord lobby set its sights on the last thing standing between tenants and the naked exploitation of the landlord – Omaha Tenants United. The landlord lobby expected us to be intimidated by lawyers and paperwork, and simply sign away the rights of Nebraska tenants to organize and defend themselves against the parasitic landlord class. They attempted to place us in an impossible situation by having us be beholden to a Commission who hosts as a member Tara Holterhaus – the most vile and fanatic mouthpiece of the landlord class. Despite the uphill battle, we stood tall and correctly appealed this brazen assault on the tenants movement and working class organization broadly. While it is unfortunate the UPL Commission allowed themselves to be weaponized for political ends such as this, we thank the Commission for ultimately making the right decision.
The landlord lobby sought to destroy us – instead they helped make us stronger than ever. As a result of this affair, our ranks have swelled, and we have received an outpouring of support from the masses of Omaha. We first of all want to thank our legal counsel, whose vibrant and principled appeal helped expose this charade for what it was and ensured our victory. Most importantly however, we want to thank the Omaha masses. The landlords have money, political connections, and lawyers on their side - but we have the people, and there’s way more of us than there is of them. Having the masses on one’s side renders the paper tigers’ paper weapons useless. The masses showed what side they are on, and this fact shows we – the working class - will ultimately be victorious over the landlord class. This episode serves as a small demonstration that the landlord class is a historically doomed one – while it will be us who stands as the last class in history.
We look forward to expressing our thanks to everyone at a public celebration of this victory soon, stay tuned for details.
