Chinese foreign policy is fundamentally predicated on soft power and peaceful economic pressure, quite literally the opposite of the US, whose economy has been propped up by the barrel of a gun for a century.

This has been made abundantly clear by American and British foreign policy narratives that clearly spin china as a military threat because they pose an economic threat

People prefer stable and prosperous economies over paper-thin economic platitudes

this is ahistorical

China was welcome by American and other Western capitalists precisely because they could offer cheap labor and products instead of paying their own workers more

it was a mutual agreement that persists to this day

and yes, compared to America and most colonial countries method of acquiring their wealth (slavery, war) China's arrangements with other countries has not cost more lives

Obviously capitalism eats itself this way but there has to be some sort of ethical code with what’s being introduced to the masses. If taking financial short cuts puts civilian lives at any sort of risk, it’s a serious problem

And if you think it’s unsustainable for China, again, so what? You want to see them fail anyway.
