Being a baby in communist knowledge. Learning about Afghan history through the blowback podcast is the second most depressing s*** next to Vietnam in American influence.

Not yet but that could be very well be the case in 20 years time
Developped world facing population decline as their population becomes virulently anti-immigrant and at the same time as the third world is facing climate change displacement (also because of the developped world) what a s*** combo

stop listening to podcasts, they make one know less.
edit: I should give you actual reading material since youre interested in the topic. not trying to dash your enthusiasm but that podcast is run by morons (goes without saying tbh).

Morons how? I wasn't listening for Marxist knowledge, but just general interest in the US meddling with other countries.

Probably mad cuz they disagreed with him on like 1 out off 99 issues. Blowback is fine you can listen to it, although it shouldn't be your only source. If you want an introduction to Marxism/Communism, you can't go wrong with Robert Tuckers' "Marx & Engels Reader".

Oh the Cia aspect and supposed quick turn to the right when civil unrest was happening? According to what I heard before on the podcast

Will do
The funny thing about Ukraine's lament about their lack of support outside the west is that despite all their efforts to alienate regular people in the global south, most of them still don't support Russia!!! It's the political class they have to convince, and Kyiv have absolutely nothing to offer. They can't moralize about doing the right thing or whatever because they're also lap dogs for US imperialism.

Want to finally get around to reading all of History and Class Consciousness first tho to kinda see how his thoughts developed a bit. Have read several of the essays but never cover to cover
