Yall got any guides on organising? I’m from a fairly small country and honestly, among the organisations I can choose to join the options are rather bleak and far from my views and goals
What country are you from? If I may ask

EFF operates in your country, you should be struggling within it and pushing an anti-revisionist line
Namibia
Oh hell yeah I love Namibia
I’d say the NEFF is a good organization to work with even if they’re a bit above the line in radicalism for first-timers

Them and AR were my go to but they both have strong anti-LGBTQ stances which is why I was wondering if I could just start my own, something smaller for the youth, more mutual aid and community based

Unfortunately NEFF is such a far step away from what EFF is and represents

Led by former SWAPO member Epafras Mukwiilongo, the party differs from its South African relative in its anti-homosexual rhetoric, with Mukwiilongo stating that "Today, the imperialists are manipulating/influencing our nation through homosexual practices. The NEFF is committed to uniting all Namibians to root out this evil practice. Namibia will never be ruled by homosexuals".
Imperialism via homosexuality

Homonationalism is unfortunately a real thing. that it has led to bigoted stances within the NEFF is unfortunate but acting as if their position came out of nowhere is just being obtuse.
This is what I mean by struggling within the party to correct rightism, this is much more worth your time than pointless "mutual aid" work which will only lead to burnout.

Sounds a lot harder than mutual aid idk. I’m failing to even combat rightism within my own family 😭. Like, idk man if you have tips I’m all ears but if I can’t even find success on a basic level I have no idea how I’ll achieve it on a grander scale

Of course it's hard. But that just means its worth doing.
Talk to young people in the NEFF, discuss the issue of queer people and how they benefit (and benefit from) the socialist revolution. Use examples from history and modern times. Talk about what's happening in South Africa, or in the Phillipines. More than likely, they'll understand where you're coming from.

What is "homonationalism"?
What is "homonationalism"?
its a concept coined by Jasbir Puar. basically the idea is that the imperialist powers use a nebulous concept of "LGBT rights" as a way to enforce neocolonial policies and wage war on the countries that they want (a la we have to permanently occupy Afghanistan bc the Taliban are homophobic) or enforce reactionary immigration policies (a la we can't take in north africans to italy bc they're all muslims even though we bombed libya and made them emigrate). of course LGBT rights never actually become better in these countries and almost always become worse as the result of enforced social austerity/racism/etc.

Queer rights have never figured in humanitarian/liberal interventionism rhetoric though. I do see an increasing amount of libs using gay rights as a justification to be anti-immigrant, but that's outside the realm of imperialism. And gay rights are dwarfed by the space women/religious freedom occupy in that discourse (as they do in liberal interventionism talk too).

you should read the book, I think your mind would change
also you are living through it? in the past 5 months how many liberals have "criticized" queer people for their internationalism toward Palestinians because "Hamas would behead them"?
The reality behind the NEFF's comment is there's a web of western international orgs doing activism on behalf of lgbt ppl (much like exist for any socially disadvantaged group). And queer rights are starting to enter the same status as those of the groups listed prior, meaning violating them is potential grounds for international sanction.
There's a lot of criticism to be leveled at those international orgs/NGOs but I'm not convinced by the claim that the work they do is tantamount to imperialism. Especially when those same people then turn around and reject local activists anyways.

if you can get sanctioned then how is it not imperialism
you seem to have a pretty narrow definition of what imperialism is, which is an international system which is enforced at different levels by the entire capitalist world, with the comprador capitalist class within the nation-state being the vanguard of carrying it out
