I'm sure you guys just consider it propaganda or whatever but I'm reading Court Of The Red Tsar right now and it's pretty sickening
"I'm reading an anticommunist rag book and surprised I see anticommunism"
Try actually reading what Lenin and Stalin advocated for
Yeah that's a good move too bad about everything else
still less worse than any other state like Britain u celebrate lol (let’s not forgot who tried to collaborate with the nazi before u push the line island against nazi propaganda)
"I'm reading an anticommunist rag book and surprised I see anticommunism"

What the advocated for and what they actually did are two completely different things. Even if this book is trash, there's still way too many mountains of evidence to ignore.

Molotov Ribbentrop
you guys aren't even trying today
The amount of families that were executed along with the father who may or may not have committed a thought crime is truly f***ing insane.
Nestor Lakoba seems like one of the only decent Bolsheviks, one that wasn't signing gargantuan death lists constantly and managed to parlay his friendship with Stalin into a whole slew of benefits for his people in Abkhazia. After Beria poisoned him (for no reason other than Stalin's paranoia), he drove Lakoba wife insane by throwing a snake into her cell as they beat her teenage children to death in front of her. Just one of millions and millions.
honestly i don’t know enough to start barring out about the soviet union but i never hear anything from the far left about the fact Beria was a serial rapist and torturer, which is basically iron-proven
This sir is called whataboutism
You can criticize one thing without deflecting to another
"Whataboutism" is itself an anticommunist fallacy argument. In the context of discussing geopolitics it is one hundred percent an implied comparison to call the soviet union authoriarian when it was progressively better than all current day examples
"I'm reading an anticommunist rag book and surprised I see anticommunism"
Try actually reading what Lenin and Stalin advocated for
I mean there are things to criticize Stalin over as there are for everyone but to what extent of good faith is it being done in is the more important thing to me
Molotov Ribbentrop
you guys aren't even trying today
what happened during the 10 years before MR pact with the ussr trying to ally with france and britain against the nazi but both kept rejecting em and trying to isolate em against the nazi lol
millions must read
also the defeat of the Nazis was the result of British intelligence, American technology and Soviet manpower
Remove any one of the three and a decisive like the one we got is substantially less likely

Dont call your book trash stand 10 toes!!!

We were talking about him the other day

I've heard maybe the serial rapist thing was exaggerated (I wouldn't want to weigh in on that either) but I've never heard anybody sugarcoat his torturing
the MR pact is the perfect example of history being taught to westerners as a set of dates to remember rather than events happening as a result of previous developments
I mean there are things to criticize Stalin over as there are for everyone but to what extent of good faith is it being done in is the more important thing to me
There is far more blatant anticommunist garbage in the west than anything fair. That's my point
Bro woke up and said I'm gonna beef with communists online lol
Everybody needs a little internet banter
Molotov Ribbentrop
you guys aren't even trying today
stick to reading books
It's called moral consistency. Not "whataboutism"
Ok well I'm not an expert at debating I just know that what America was doing was beside the point. I'm not even American.
honestly i don’t know enough to start barring out about the soviet union but i never hear anything from the far left about the fact Beria was a serial rapist and torturer, which is basically iron-proven
the unfortunate side of revolutionary amoralism at least the soviets ended up shooting him
There is far more blatant anticommunist garbage in the west than anything fair. That's my point
One hundred percent agree.
A lot of times when people are talking Stalin its just red fash s*** instead of having a discussion about the pros and cons but if youre the type that equals him to hitler that type of convo is going to go one ear out the other
the unfortunate side of revolutionary amoralism at least the soviets ended up shooting him
Absolutely
I mean there are things to criticize Stalin over as there are for everyone but to what extent of good faith is it being done in is the more important thing to me
I'm not doing it in bad faith, I'm doing it so that I can learn more from yall tbh
also the defeat of the Nazis was the result of British intelligence, American technology and Soviet manpower
Remove any one of the three and a decisive like the one we got is substantially less likely
This is a lie. The soviets fought off the Nazis for years before anyone else did anything substantial. Any objective view would be the soviets won the war.
