Nestor Lakoba seems like one of the only decent Bolsheviks, one that wasn't signing gargantuan death lists constantly and managed to parlay his friendship with Stalin into a whole slew of benefits for his people in Abkhazia. After Beria poisoned him (for no reason other than Stalin's paranoia), he drove Lakoba wife insane by throwing a snake into her cell as they beat her teenage children to death in front of her. Just one of millions and millions.

"Whataboutism" is itself an anticommunist fallacy argument. In the context of discussing geopolitics it is one hundred percent an implied comparison to call the soviet union authoriarian when it was progressively better than all current day examples

This is a lie. The soviets fought off the Nazis for years before anyone else did anything substantial. Any objective view would be the soviets won the war.
