America intervening and f***ing over South America- bad
China intervening disrupting traditional Tibetan way of life- good
China ended feudalism in Tibet, the US overthrows democratically elected governments because their policies hurt the profits of US corporations.
Is everything about Chinese rule in Tibet great? No, but to ignore that and to try to equate US imperialism to what China has done is either dishonest or shows you think Tibet was some sort of paradise before China gained control over it.

Feudalism or not it is highly hypocritical to pine on about external powers meddling with others and then support that
ALSO modern day Tibetan nationalists support democracy, not feudalism, no one wants to revert to feudal rule

My issue is not just with the fact that external powers do stuff in a region, it's about what they do.
The Allied powers fighting Nazi Germany: good.
Cuba supporting anti-apartheid and anti-colonial struggles in Africa: good.
The US supporting fascists in Latin America to overthrow democratically elected left-wing governments: bad.

Ok that is totally fair but this doesnt mean that what AOC advocates is bad, a consulate in Tibet and sanctions on China Is nowhere near as morally questionable as couping a democratically elected leader
Imagine stanning Regan
Imagine stanning anything loyal to the two party system and opposed to coalitions that could create a better life for everyone
Umair Haque writes:
“It strikes me that the planet’s fate is now probably sealed. We have just a decade in which to control climate change — or goodbye, an unknown level of catastrophic, inescapable, runaway warming is inevitable. The reality is: we’re probably not going to make it. It’s highly dubious at this juncture that humanity is going to win the fight against climate change.”
We are in deep denial and captured by an economic system which is burning us out of our homes.
I'm not saying the us last century was better, it was a terrible racist mess.
That being said, Stalins writings are all well and good sure, but actions speak louder than words.
His campaigns of political repression killed s***loads of people. You are correct he was a minority, but being a minority doesnt mean you're immune from treating other minorities like s***. He was awful to the certain minorities and committed genocide of the cossacks and Ukrainians. On top of this, he was a deeply paranoid and autocratic man. There is countless evidence of his brutal repression of political opponents and minorities.
Just cause he wrote stuff we agree with doesnt make him good.
The logic you've used would have you believing the same things about Obama
