You know, I’m really curious because I never see it discussed in leftist spaces much, but since it’s one of the biggest forums on the internet, what’s y’all’s feelings on Resetera?
Biggest s***lib hellhole on the internet

im actually taking a class with naomi rn
shes a great lecturer but mainly sees climate change as a "neoliberal" problem rather than a problem intrinsic to capitalism/ the profit motive and thinks it can be combatted through a green new deal

Seems like she needs to read her book again. Surely any GND nowadays would just be another handout to corporations that wouldn’t accomplish the goal and instead leave open opportunities for future public-private partnerships

The Long March was also extremely wack. Yet, it needed to be done. Like our comrades before us, we march on

yea its really wild to me how elaborately she can a***yze the consequences and disasters of capitalism while failing to recognize the necessity of socialism. shes not a communist but theres still a lot of value in her works imo
she said she "didn't know" whether the climate crisis was a problem specific to neoliberalism or capitalism in general. her husbands also part of the NDP I believe

The history in Shock Doctrine is great tho and I recommend it to both seasoned communists and new leftists
