Never feel that way. I’m a theory nerd but I have always learned the most through actual practice. It’s important to read and study but it’s more important to ask questions, learn in the way you can, and try to apply that knowledge to the real world
If you ever want some recommendations for introductory texts about a certain topic this is a great place to ask
i have a list of political and philosophy books i want to read but i been putting them off for some reason. i probably got them from this thread lol tbh

Me and my gf want to move to London for 6-12 months in early 2024
How hard will it be for me to get a work visa if I have felony charges? I plead guilty and part of the deal was they got expunged from my record so businesses can’t see it but Feds can so I assume the English gov would be able to see them as well. They’re nonviolent weed charges (trafficking and intent to distribute). Am I f***ed or do you think I can make it work?
One of my friends has been living in Poland for a while and she said it might be difficult since England is not a EU country rn
We also have the option of moving to France so I guess worst case scenario I could do that

Probably a Skilled Worker Visa if I can find a job in my field
If not I’ll just get a travel visa and find some service industry shyt once I get over there

No, beyond the initial 24 hours in jail while I waited for bail. Just had to do 3 years of probation and everything got expunged

The expungement probably has no effect on visa applications so the conviction will appear on paper. It's not a serious crime and no time was served. Then again, I don't know if they are very strict with d*** charges in general.

Reading up on Siqi, he sounds great. Do you have an English copy of his book Dialectical Materialism and Historical Materialism by chance? Bannedthought doesn’t have it and I’m not seeing it anywhere else with a quick google search
