do you think its inherent or because the conditions we live in make it too unforgiving to do anything we want to if it doesn't have a profit motive>

what motive do they have to spend hundreds of man-hours on projects that aren't even physically tangible whatever motive that is surely can be applied to real life

because studying and work is the same as building pixelblocks for enjoyment and aesthetical pleasure

    what

do you think most people do things for profit motive because they inherently prefer to, or because they have to because of the conditions set by a mainly capitalist society

    Orwell was an anti-communist

    hope this helps

    He was anti-soviet union.

But really not the point I'm making. Dude is trying to prove some anti-socialist point by bringing up George Orwell who was 100% a democratic socialist by his own admission, just proving how ridiculous right wingers are and how lacking they are in any sort of educational history.

Socialism is a mode of production that has been proven to be able to reproduce it's forces of production, there is no argument here

Does it matter why? Are u arguing motives would change under socialism?
I believe there would be no drive in people in a socialist structure.

What you believe is irrelevant. Where are the facts to back up your claim?

People are greedy today, want me to interview a rich guy to tell you that he describes himself as greedy? Is that proof?
Greedy people exist. Their motive is money.

Do you understand the conditions of Russia or China in a pre-socialist mode?
They innovated and modernized at an insane speed so your argument is dead in the water here

So are people greedy because it's an inherent part of human nature, or are they greedy because its what the system demands and people are adaptive to their situation?

is there an answer to that question? does it need an answer?
People are greedy today because there are opportunities in the capitalist system. You want to shut that down with socialism?

    force

    What does that even mean?

Surely if the soviets were incapable of innovating they would have had outdated security systems, an outdated military force, and outdated weaponry and we could have just crushed them
