I could write a lot about this. There is so much nonsensical stuff with this website.
1. There is no moderation log. We don't know which actions are taken, which users are banned or muted, which threads and posts are deleted. There is zero transparency.
2. We don't even know the moderators. In a way, it's even worse than on KTT1, since KTT1 had a list of moderators available and a moderator tag for users. Here, you can't even know who is a moderator, and moderators don't have the ability to highlight their posts.
3. The mutes and bans do not get explained usually. The rules of KTT2 are written in a pretty vague way (in help section, which nobody reads), even for the standards of an online forum.
4. There is no public message explaining "this user has been banned", or why they have been banned. One of the basic functions of punishment is special prevention (the user should not do it again), but also general prevention (others should see this behavior is not condoned and learn from it). How can general prevention work if people don't even know why they were muted or banned, or don't even know *if' they were truly muted or banned.
5. Mutes and bans are arbirtrary and have arbitrary effects. I have gotten week-long mutes where my avatar was still appearing, but also week-long mutes where my avatar disappeared. This makes it hard for outsiders to judge who is permanently gone, and who is on a temporary mute, which once again weakens the general prevetion effect.
6. Half of the threads in help section don't even get any responses.
That's just the stuff about moderation. I mean there's much more to complain about. S lucked into founding this site as a youngster because the other site sucked balls towards the end (KanyeLive). He promised a simple forum app for 10 years, which we all know is ridiculous for any programmer. He essentially lucked into this website and the site was earning 5 digit figures monthly in the KTT1 days. Then he sold the website to a shady forum-collecting-company, which almost immediately led to a password leak of old KTT1 passwords. Any mention of this incident usually gets deleted on KTT2 and I'm pretty sure the name of the company it got sold to gets you an auto-deletion.
He leaves during the worst time to be a Kanye fan, and briefly comes back to the site just to remove/modify the Kanye-smilies. I hope he really is busy with the rebranding, because otherwise it is simply stupid what he is doing. If he can't handle the workload, he should hire some helpers, the site has good SEO rankings and enough advertisement engagements to sponsor a small operation.
My last two mutes were completely arbirtrary. One was because of a !dream post in a rwina troll thread that some mod apparently didn't recognize wasn't meant seriously, one was because...I don't even know the second one. And even the first one is just a guess because there is no ban/mute-message on this website to explain things.
Meanwhile, I have seen people legitimately write Elders of Zion tier posts about the Kanye incident. There is some absolutely (REDACTED) tendency here that for example the r-word is literally worse than anti-semitism (since one gets you an instant mute while the other is tolerated in heavy doses).
A lot of the classic users on KTT1 left, and it got even worse on KTT2. A ton of legitimately great users are gone, and it's the same faces all the time. Forums are dying breed anyway, so I'm not even sure why they are so ban-happy. It's not like there is a horde of teenagers waiting to get onto KTT2, the userbase is approaching Coli-tier age levels. We are all getting DUSTY, and no young blood is coming up.
The lifeblood of any forum are its posters. What new posters do we get? Right-wingers who are now new Kanye fans, that's about it.
Even the name of this website exemplifies the laziness behind it - it was meant as a placeholder and never got replaced...how hard can that be? Seriously, just put a URL re-direct and people will adapt to it within weeks.
Anyway, I can go on and on. I enjoy this website somewhat despite its administration and moderating, not because of it...
The quality of posts in music section are also lower. There are people like @AudioConsulting who really put effort into music discussion, but most people seem f***ing illiterate and whine when a post is longer than a paragraph. Why are you even on a forum then?
Life section hasn't had classic organic threads in a while, although I did enjoy the Queen Elizabeth one. I guess I will use it like leftypol: Mostly going here when big things happen, like Takeoff dying (RIP).
Also, the "thread watch" function is completely broken, you can't bookmark threads, the search function sucks ass so you gotta use Google to find s***, and THERE STILL ARE NO FUNCTIONING PRIVATE-MESSAGE SYSTEMS
The artist sections are super f***ing random and can't be found (there's a Lorde section believe it or not), the Spotify functions were never expanded like it was promised
Anyway...KTT1 coming November 2012 (sic)
theres like 1 real mod and it's safe

Kanye doing a weird Black Israelite remix of the Protocols and kids going to Halloween dressed as Nazis, so naturally the International Holocaust Rememberance Association is devoting all its effort to make the UN define Anti-Semitism as Anti-Zionism.
