If only Althusser was a better prof so he didn’t s*** out dumbasses like Foucault
what would be ur biggest critiques of Foucault

as a wise man once said "i don't have any personal issues with foucault, but i'm sure a lot of young tunisian boys somewhere probably do"

I remember there was this tweet
It was this bald dude with the COVID surgical mask straps around wrists so it was like a pair of handcuffs
The caption simply said “foucalt” and had like a billion likes
what would be ur biggest critiques of Foucault
I could write a lot but I mean his entire project is extremely anti Marxist and provides the theoretical roots for all the grossest forms of postmodernism and radlib bullshit that plagues the the western “left”
His denial of “grand narratives” and focus on the “diffuse nature of power”means he rejects class struggle as the central motive force of history. So he adopts an incredibly liberal and individualized understanding of social formations. He celebrates subjectivity and as a result can’t offer any meaningful conception of the world and how to change it. Foucault would have you believe we can somehow resolve the worlds contradictions through aimless, spontaneous acts of confronting “power”
There’s a reason the CIA helped fund the translation of his texts. Much like anarchism his thought lets one feel radical without having to actually deprogram the majority of one’s liberal inclinations
And Foucault is able to hide just how liberal (frankly reactionary) he is by using radical-sounding concepts and hiding behind obscurantist academic language that makes him sound more profound than he actually is

Sylvia Federici has some good critiques of him in the intro to Caliban and the Witch. Namely about his conception of bio-power.
I have some issues with Federici as well (not major) but she did a great job there
Watching a Stephen Kinzer talk and he says the Supreme Court decision which allowed the American colonization of the Phillipines (since the vote in congress was so close) justified its decision that Filipinos have no rights by pointing to segregation
its all connected

Sartre with all his problems rightfully cooked Foucault when he said he's the "last barricade the bourgeoisie can still erect against Marx"
Law professors get so insecure about their profession not being a science it's hilarious

My law theory fella who also mentions Marx and shyt said "law is not a science"?, the rest did think it

When i studied law they had whole lectures about it in our introductory course it was so embarassing
"For the Socialist of another country cannot expose the government and bourgeoisie of a country at war with “his own” nation, and not only because he does not know that country’s language, history, specific features, etc., but also because such exposure is part of imperialist intrigue, and not an internationalist duty."

Both have BPD and could never leave their Christian faith.
Althu tried to contact the Pope after he had been suffering from mental illness for a while
BPD is Borderline Personality Disorder right?
Ye is diagnosed Bipolar, which is apparently different although I can never really differentiate them properly

There are a lot of differences but BPD is a personality disorder and BD a mood disorder.
BD is mostly characterized by manic and depressive episodes (people with BPD don't have mania). There are also mood swings with BPD but they're more rapid and tied to interpersonal relationships while BD mood swings happen in longer stretched out episodes (at least as an adult).
Wonder how many Germanoids are going to freeze to death this winter because of transatlantic cucks wanting to sanction Russian gas
There will also be CO2 poisonings by people burning shyt inside their homes to stay warm. I can guarantee the media will blame Russia for these deaths and gaslight that anybody who complains is a Putinist. The economic situation is crazy and it technically is still autumn.

Gramsci and Rosa being remolded into “libertarian” socialists is hilarious
Well Rosa disagreed with Lenin about something and Gramsci talked a lot about culture so obvious they're libertarian

remember don’t ask Rosa on her opinion on the right for nations to self determination
Or Gramsci what his nickname was
