Right and wrong are ultimately universal regardless of religion and race.

Believing that a woman's confession is worh half of a man's confession is wrong regardless of where that ideology comes from.

yeah his argument seemed to hinge on the notions that 1) Iran is anti-imperialist 2) Me being in the imperial core means in supporting the protest I'm supporting imperial action against Iran 3) The protests are smaller than they were in 2019 (is this true?) 4) This is being overblown by Western media

I can't be a campist sorry team no matter what you think Lenin said

They are much bigger than it was in 2009. There been uprisings in every major city.

I was there in 2009. In 2009 the protests were Firstly only in Tehran and it was "allowed by the government" because it was to do with the election that had just happened. So people felt safe going out. Therefore a big number turned up in Tehran only. The goals were different but regardless it ended up bloody. But because it was so concentrated in one area no one came out the next day!

    The demographic was different too
In 2008 it was mostly 30 40 years olds. With wives and families to lose

Today it is the young generation with nothing to lose whom want a decent future.
You need to keep in mind that those on the streets today weren't even 10 years old in 09.

    2019 bro

You need to realize that the protests today didn't come out of the blue. It's a continuation of 2009, 2019, 2020 rocketing of the Ukranian plane, 2021 Abadan twin tower and 2022 Mahsa Amini protests
