Finished Behemoth. Highly recommend if anyone wants a solid economic and class a***ysis of Nazi Germany from a Marxist perspective
Still not quite sure how I feel about his central thesis that Nazi Germany didn’t constitute a proper state, but his arguments for that give one a lot to think about
Now look into Weimar Germany
I've only been active recently was there always this many antivaxxers lmfao
Yes a ton until people realized that it wouldn’t cause people to combust spontaneously from the microchip
Then it died down until people started quoting some far-right Netherlands politician tweet and now it’s rising again

How did Protestantism contribute to capitalism?
Erich Fromm’s Escape from Freedom has a good part about this I’ll re-read it and quote it when I’m back home from work
Now look into Weimar Germany
Yeah he talks a lot about Weimar throughout the book and dedicates the first brief portion of the book to it to provide some historical background. Definitely a topic I’d like to read about more in depth tho. Do you have any recommendations?

No but I can offer you this SPD-approved image

My knowledge from Weimar mostly stems from my law degree and bits and pieces I picked up over the years. Don't have one particular recommendation. Lemme check and I might come back to u

How did Protestantism contribute to capitalism?
Basically the Catholic Church in 15th century Europe was preventing free exchange and had these rules where you couldn't lend money at interest (usury). Also you had this social safety net which was dependent on the Church.
Then came along all these Protestant reformers like Calvin and Luther who turned religion into a personal relationship with God. Basically advocated to break away with the social structure and social aspects of religion. Hence why Protestantism was def a product of Capital.

Thank God the reformers did what they did. Or we probs wouldn't even have electricity today 😂 we all be sitting in the dark at nights thinking inshallah God willing the sun will come up in the morning.
"So why do you think the date went poorly?
"Idk, maybe because I was a bit late? She said she understood traffic was bad, but maybe it annoyed her more than she let on?"
"You don't think it was when she mentioned the recent passing of her veteran grandpa and you responded 'another crakkka down, unlimited genocide on the first world'?"
"no no, that's definitely not it. It was because I was late..."

I am going to doxx @krishna_bound :
