So you're not a communist or socialist. this thread is specifically for that/people looking to learn about. since you're not here for either, therefore don't post in the thread and waste our time
I'm actually reading through Mandel's Introduction to Marxist Economic Theory, so I wouldn't say I'm not interested in y'all philosophy. Add that to the fact that most of y'all I've interacted with ITT are (unintentionally) hilarious, and it's a recipe for an entertaining diversion.
Again, it's a public thread on a public forum. I'm not trolling or trying to bait any of y'all into arguments (It's honestly been made evident that most of yall don't have the capacity), so again, I'll read through y'all posts and recs, make comments I feel are necessary.
Now, y'all totally have the right to refuse to interact because of whatever weirdness you've collectively convinced yourself is happening, and you, as a mod, totally have the right to mute or ban if you think I'm going against any of the KTT2 rules and regulations, but I don't think you can stop people from posting in a thread because you don't like them or they don't agree with your philosophy.
Feel free to prove me wrong though.

U welcome 🫡 haven't read much from the 20th century onwards so i dont have many good recommendations for general history, but I think the The Federal Landscape by Nash and The Next Shift by Winant are good reads. Both kinda specific, TFL is about the economic transformation of the Western states and The Next Shift is about deindustrialization in Pittsburgh, but the themes of the rise of the southwest and decline of the northeast are complementary imo
